Hook
A clock lets energy out one tick at a time. Why not all at once?
Fair test
Wind it the same amount 3 times. Time how long it runs. Count ticks.
Bonus challenge
Move the bob up the rod two holes, then three (the hole just above it is taken), and count tick-tocks in 30 seconds each time. Does a shorter pendulum tick faster or slower?
