🛠️ Engineers (Advanced)

Newton’s laws, energy transfer, gearboxes, space machines, fluid power, robots and automation for Automation Studio.

Ready for multi-stage systems. 60-minute lessons. groups of 3.

Missions

  • 🏋️ M1 Force, Mass & Motion: Cogworks Logistics moves heavy crates all day and its machines keep stalling. You are the new junior engineers, armed with Newton’s laws and a spring scale.
  • 🔋 M2 Energy Transfer: The Cogworks Museum of Machines is opening an energy gallery: trebuchets, clocks and steam engines. Each exhibit must show exactly where the energy goes.
  • 🏎️ M3 Gearboxes: How Cars Go: Cogworks Racing needs one car that can crawl up a steep hill AND sprint down the straight. The secret is the gearbox.
  • 🛞 M4 Steering & Differentials: Cogworks Taxis keep scraping kerbs and skidding on corners. Their engineers never learned how cars turn. You will.
  • 🦿 M5 Machines That Seem Alive: A film studio wants mechanical creatures that walk, count and pump without any computer. Only clever linkages allowed.
  • 🪐 M6 Space Machines: Cogworks Space Agency is planning a Mars mission. They need models of the solar system, navigation tools and a rover that won’t tip over.
  • 💨 M7 Fluid Power: Diggers, dentist chairs and aircraft brakes all run on pushed fluid. Cogworks Construction wants engineers who can harness air.
  • 🤖 M8 Robots & Control: Cogworks Robotics is building helper robots. Some are driven by people, some think for themselves. You will build both.
  • 🏭 M9 Factory Automation: Cogworks Toy Factory is swamped with orders. The boss wants machines that move, dig and sort, so the workers can go home on time.
  • 🚑 M10 Capstone: Rescue Rover: An earthquake has hit Automation Studio. Rescue teams need a rover that can cross rubble and carry supplies. This is your final mission.
