🤖 M8 Robots & Control

Cogworks Robotics is building helper robots. Some are driven by people, some think for themselves. You will build both.

Lessons

1. The robot arm claw: Factory robot arms repeat the same move a million times. Can you drive one?
2. The servo steering racer: A servo motor knows its own angle. That makes steering precise.
3. Steering precision lab: Is a servo more precise than a person with a knob?
4. The micro:bit sensor car: This car decides by itself when to stop. Code it!
5. Design Day: The wall-shy rover: The helper robot keeps bumping into the kitchen wall. Teach it some manners!
6. Showcase: Robot Rally: Three autonomous runs each. The class counts down: 3, 2, 1… hands off!

Design challenge

Build and code a rover that drives to a wall, stops within 5–10 cm, turns and drives back.
