🛒 Push Buggy: step-by-step build

A sturdy buggy with a push bar held up by super-strong triangles.

The Tiny Roller was great, but it wobbled a bit. Real engineers make things strong! The Push Buggy has a double-layer chassis, spacers so the wheels spin freely, and two secret triangles that hold the push bar up. Try to squish the triangles when you are done — you cannot! That is the trick bridges and cranes use every day.

  • Level 2 of 5 (easy)
  • About 15 minutes
  • 12 steps, 28 parts
  • Powered by: Push
  • Series: Starter Builds

What you will learn

Build these first

  • Tiny Roller🚗 Tiny Roller: Your very first rolling car — only 13 pieces! (level 1 of 5, about 5 minutes, 6 steps)

Parts you need

  • 2 × Beam 13
  • 4 × Blue long pin
  • 3 × Beam 5
  • 3 × Axle 8
  • 6 × Half bush
  • 4 × Yellow-hub wheel
  • 4 × Black pin (grippy)
  • 2 × Beam 7

Steps

  1. Stand a 13-hole beam on its edge. This is the left side of the chassis.
  2. Push two blue long pins into the 6th and 8th holes.
  3. Slide a 5-hole spacer beam onto the pins, then the right-side 13-hole beam.
  4. Push two long axles through the first and last holes.
  5. Put a half bush on each axle end, right against the beams.
  6. Push the two wheels onto this side.
  7. Now the two wheels on the other side.
  8. Left side: push a black pin into the 9th hole and hang a 5-hole beam straight up on it.
  9. Push a blue long pin into the 5th hole and hang a 7-hole beam on it, leaning up to the post. Pin its 6th hole to the post's 4th hole.
  10. Right side: the same post — a black pin in the 9th hole and a 5-hole beam straight up.
  11. And the same triangle: a blue long pin, the slanted 7-hole beam, and a black pin joining it to the post.
  12. Slide the push bar through the tops of the posts and lock it with half bushes.

Play time

Hold the push bar and zoom the buggy around. Then press down hard on the bar — the triangles keep it strong!
