✈️ C-212 Aviocar (Spain): step-by-step build

A boxy Spanish transport plane with a high straight wing and two propellers.

The CASA C-212 Aviocar is a small, tough transport plane from Spain with a boxy body, a straight wing on top and a ramp at the back for loading cargo. This is a Technic-parts model inspired by it, not a real aeroplane: green and tan beams make the camouflage, red and yellow beams on the tail borrow the colours of the Spanish flag, and each propeller turns freely on its own axle.

Steps

  1. Lay the floor of the fuselage: take a tan 15-hole beam, then push 2 black pins in and press a tan 11-hole beam onto them.
  2. Lay the floor of the fuselage: push 2 blue long pins in and press a tan 3×5 L-beam (short leg down: the nose-wheel leg) onto them.
  3. Add the roots of the tail and the landing-gear legs: push 1 black pin and 1 blue long pin in and press a tan 2×4 L-beam (short leg up) onto them.
  4. Add the roots of the tail and the landing-gear legs: push 1 black pin and 1 blue long pin in and press a tan 2×4 L-beam (short leg up) onto them.
  5. Add the roots of the tail and the landing-gear legs: push 2 black pins in and press a tan 3×5 L-beam (short leg down: a landing-gear leg) onto them.
  6. Add the roots of the tail and the landing-gear legs: push 2 black pins in and press a tan 3×5 L-beam (short leg down: a landing-gear leg) onto them, then slide a tan 2×4 L-beam (short leg up) onto the blue pins that stick out.
  7. Add the roots of the tail and the landing-gear legs: push 2 black pins in and press a tan 2×4 L-beam (short leg up) onto them.
  8. Build the top of the fuselage and the tail fin: push 2 black pins in and press a green 13-hole beam onto them.
  9. Build the top of the fuselage and the tail fin: push 1 black pin and 1 blue long pin in and press a red boomerang beam (its bent end leans back: the tail fin) onto them.
  10. Build the top of the fuselage and the tail fin: push 2 blue long pins in and press a green 5-hole beam onto them.
  11. Build the top of the fuselage and the tail fin: push 1 black pin and 1 blue long pin in and press a clear 3-hole beam (the cockpit windows) onto them.
  12. Build the top of the fuselage and the tail fin: push 2 black pins in and press a yellow 3-hole beam leaning back along the fin onto them.
  13. Fix the wing roots on top of the fuselage: slide a green 9-hole beam onto the blue pins that stick out, then push 2 blue long pins in and press a green 9-hole beam onto them.
  14. Build the tailplanes: push 1 black pin in and press a green 5-hole beam onto them, then push 1 black pin in and press a green 5-hole beam onto them.
  15. Build the right wing and its engines: push 1 black pin and 1 blue long pin in and press a green 7-hole beam onto them.
  16. Build the right wing and its engines: push 1 blue long pin in and press a green 3-hole beam onto them.
  17. Build the right wing and its engines: push 2 blue long pins in and press a tan 3×5 L-beam (short leg down: an engine) onto them, then slide a tan 7-hole beam onto the blue pins that stick out.
  18. Build the right wing and its engines: push 2 black pins in and press a green 7-hole beam onto them.
  19. Build the left wing and its engines: slide a green 7-hole beam onto the blue pins that stick out, then push 2 blue long pins in and press a green 3-hole beam onto them.
  20. Build the left wing and its engines: push 2 blue long pins in and press a tan 3×5 L-beam (short leg down: an engine) onto them, then slide a tan 7-hole beam onto the blue pins that stick out.
  21. Build the left wing and its engines: push 2 black pins in and press a green 7-hole beam onto them.
  22. Fit the propellers: push 2 black pins into the upright leg and press the long pin-axle block onto them.
  23. Fit the propellers: push an axle into the block, slide on the black propeller beam and lock it on with a bush (the propeller spins freely on the axle).
  24. Fit the propellers: push 2 black pins into the upright leg and press the long pin-axle block onto them.
  25. Fit the propellers: push an axle into the block, slide on the black propeller beam and lock it on with a bush (the propeller spins freely on the axle).
  26. Put on the wheels: push a 6-long axle through both legs and put a wheel on each end.
  27. Put on the wheels: push a 3-long axle through the leg, with a wheel on one side and a bush on the other.
